Will DoorDash still be used to order food?

70% of people prefer to order online and get their food delivered. According to a Forbes survey, the online food ordering industry is projected to hit 200 billion USD. This isn’t surprising since digital orders are three-times higher than on-site ordering. 

People that used DoorDash before the pandemic continue to do the same now and will do so in future. Will there still be a wide selection of restaurants on DoorDash?

  1. Change up the times you dash if possible. There could be hours where there are more drivers than there are people ordering. Some of the most popular times of the day to order food are lunches between 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM, dinner around 5:00 PM, and late night after 8:00 PM especially on Fridays and Saturdays.  
  1. Hang out in hotspots where there are clusters of restaurants that DoorDash estimates will be more popular.  
  1. If you live in or near a megalopolis, or where a lot of cities or states are gathered near one central place, try testing out different markets. If the neighboring city or state isn’t too far, try DoorDashing there.
